Boy Scout Troop 627
SCA chartered Boy Scout Troop 627 would like to invite boys
ages 11-17 who are interested in joining a home school Boy
Scout Troop that provides Christ-centered, educational activities
and fellowship. Scouting offers an array of programs that
include outdoor experiences, advancement, recognition, and
values. We meet at Calvary Chapel RSM on Monday evenings

Civil Air Patrol
United States Air Force Auxiliary – For youth ages 12 -
18. This squadron meets in Costa Mesa every Thursday night.
There is information on the internet - Squadron68.org.
Cadet information is under the "What We Do" icon. The first
paragraph states, "The CAP Cadet Program is designed to
motivate and develop well-rounded young people, who in turn
will become model citizens and the future leaders of our
nation. The program introduces thousands of young people
between the ages of 12 and 18 to aviation, and offers outstanding
programs, including some that provide flight instruction
in a light airplane or glider at low cost. For more information,

Science Classes
Are you still looking for help
with science? As an RN with a science degree, I have decided
to continue teaching science in my home this fall. I am
offering two classes.
Jr. High Life Science Fri 9:30-11:00
High School Biology Fri 11:00-1:30

Sports Classes
Sports101 will be offering classes in the
fall. There will be two classes to choose from. The first
class will be for students K-3rd grade. This class will
be ten weeks long. The first five weeks, we will focus on
flag football. The second 5 weeks will be baseball. Children
will learn the importance of stretching, fundamentals of
each sport and being a team player. The second class will
be for students 4th through 8th grade. This class will be
flag football. The entire ten weeks will be devoted to learning
and playing flag football. My goal is to start by teaching
classes and getting you kids excited about sports. Then,
God willing, we can start our very own home-school sports

Junior High History Classes
This is not a SCA class. Gail Carlson is taking
sign ups for all families interested in one or the other
for next year. These classes will run from September – May.
Syllabus will be issued when class begins in September.

Piano Lessons
Custom-designed lessons by Crystal Oddo, a master-teacher
who will help your children love music. Teaching using a
classical approach with worship music training is available
for all levels from 1st grade through adults. Mrs. Oddo
is a member of the California Music Teacher’s Association
(MTAC.org)
and a Certificate of Merit teacher with a Master’s degree
in teaching piano. She has shared a great love for music
with all of her students for the past 20 years. References

A Writing Workshop For Children Grades 3rd
– 5th
This FUN, INTERACTIVE enrichment workshop will
help students become excited and passionate about writing!
Through the use of theatre games, students will learn how
to tap into their five senses and incorporate their discoveries
into their work! They will also illustrate their stories,
and at the end of the six week course take home a unique,
special journal.
