Elementary Classes for 2008

Teacher Needed! We have a teaching position available in spring to teach two Art Appreciation classes—a 1-2 grade combo and a 3-4 grade combo. This is a paid position that will run for the six spring sessions. Our current teachers will be able to share lesson plan ideas, so the planning will be very easy. We need someone to step up to this position, or the classes will have to be cancelled. If you are interested, please contact Amber Healy.

Registration for the winter science and spring art appreciation classes is closed. However, I will maintain a waiting list should there be drops and space becomes available. Because choir has unlimited enrollment this year, we will accept new registrations for choir only. The fee is $50 paid in two installments. If you did not participate in choir in the fall session and would like to register now, please contact Amber Healy.

Please remember that if you need to drop a class, you must do so before the 2nd week of class by contacting Amber Healy.

Are you ready for another awesome year of classes? For the 2008 school year, all K – 6th grade students will study the same topic in Friday morning classes, which will be expanded upon through our all-school assemblies and field trips. Classes offered are as follows:

**Please note that this chart shows class availability only. This does not reflect the actual age or grade breakdown of the individual classes. The grade and age breakdown combinations for each class will be determined after enrollment numbers are finalized. We will make every effort to match the students into age and grade appropriate groups.

Parent participation: All parents will be required to help supervise in at least two classes per child enrolled, with maximum of four “helps” per session. If you supervise in a class and choir on the same day it counts as two “helps.” Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will help in your child’s specific class. In the September newsletter, you will be notified of your helping dates. If you are unavailable on these dates, a paid substitute list will be made available.

Questions: Our Elementary Class Coordinator, Amber Healy, will have an information table at the
June corporate faculty meeting to answer your questions. In the meantime, feel free to contact Amber Healy with any questions related to classes.
