Share Fair For All SCA Students
All SCA families are invited to Crossroads Church on Wednesday, June 4, from 10:00am-12:00pm to share your fun projects and accomplishments from this past school year. Please bring a snack for 12-15 friends, and any awards earned or fun projects created by your children this year, and your own card table to display them. We will use an open house format, come together for ACSI and Physical Fitness Awards, and end with a time for snacks and fellowship. Please contact Cheryl Olson with any questions.

Collie Rescue comes to SCA
When: Tuesday, May 6 at 12:30PM
Have you ever wondered what it really takes to be a responsible steward for a pet’s entire lifetime? How can
you be sure you choose the pal of your dreams? What if a behavior, medical or husbandry issue should arise?
Sue Baldwin has been serving Southland Collie Rescue for over a decade and has cared for everything from
dogs to horses. She and a few of her canine friends will share their stories and expertise on matching the right
pet to the right family and the realities of responsible pet ownership. Sue intends to educate the public about
successful pet/owner relations so well that she’ll be out of a job someday! Please RSVP email or by phone. See April's newsletter for information. (Love offering of $1 per family and/or donation of old towels or blankets suggested.)
Homeschooling 101 for
Parents
Formally known as Faculty Development, this is a time
for Moms to encourage and build up one another. I find
as a homeschool mom I am always learning along with
my children, and am able to glean from the wisdom and
experiences of other moms who have either homeschooled
longer than myself or just done it differently. This
is an opportunity for us to not only invest in our friendships
but a valuable time to set aside for yourself to become
a better prepared teacher.
The following are tentative dates typically on the last
Friday of the month during the school year. Please put
them on your calendar and plan for a fabulous time to
learn something new while enjoying the fellowship of
other SCA moms. Times will be determined by the individual
speakers.
February 29th - "Learning through Games"
Are your kids tired of too many text books and worksheets?
Do you want to put a little fun into the school day--for
both of you? Then come and learn how to use games to
teach and review concepts in any subject area, to any
grade level, with almost any number of students. The
games Lori will share are quick and easy to make and
play, yet extremely effective in teaching and motivating
students. Start playing games with your children and
watch them love to learn!
